A few weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing the wedding for friends, Kari and Brad. The day was perfect. It was the first day in well over a week that we saw sunshine and not a drop of rain. The bride was gorgeous, the groom handsome, and the wedding party was stunning and an absolute blast! I love photographing weddings for so many reasons… this was no exception. This post includes some of my absolute favorite images from the day. I cannot forget to mention my partner in crime, friend and collaborator, Stephanie Dunn of Stephanie Dunn Design, LLC. Together, I think we put together an amazing story that I hope the bride and groom will enjoy for years to come! Let’s begin with that amazing dress… I love the drama the tall window provides as a backdrop.

How beautiful is Kari…?! The hair and makeup came together beautifully and matched the mood the dress created. Very glamorous with a vintage flair.

Let’s not forget the groom’s preparations… very classic.

We were lucky enough to get access to the Prohibition bar in the Foshay Tower for the “first look” moment between bride and groom and a few wedding party shots. Here is a shot of the groomsman as they anxiously await Kari…

And the first moments… I think Brad approves.

I love positioning group shots, though it can be a challenge for large weddings. I love how this one came out.

We made our way to the Noerenberg Gardens on Lake Minnetonka for the wedding ceremony. I love these shots of Kari near this amazing tree. The lighting is incredible!kari blog

A beautiful rendition of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” was sung by friend, Krista, and accompanied by Kari’s brother, Tony.

You know it’s a party when you run into Goldy at the reception – and how perfect that the U of MN is the bride’s alma mater (and mine, as well)!?
